Martin leased the home to himself for $5,000 monthly, planning to sell it for $2.6 million and pocket $1.3 million tax-free. Campbell, initially complicit in silence, turned whistleblower, revealing a $1.4 million loan from Will Smith as the funding source, hinting at deeper entanglements.

Rumors of Martin’s close relationship with Smith, dating back to *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air* in 1993, fueled speculation. Allegations from a former assistant and tabloid reports of exotic trips without their wives intensified whispers of a hidden dynamic.
